Growing up in Jammu with no musical background, for me, everything started in the second year of my engineering. Our team had won the National Car Competition of BAJA 2011 and there was a celebratory gathering of The Society of Automotive Engineers at ARAI, Pune. I got the opportunity to perform as a solo singer-guitarist for one of the events at the venue. I had recently started learning the guitar and I was ready with a few songs by then. So it seemed like the perfect time to jump the gun. 

 

And so it began - an unexpected turn of fate and destiny. By the end of the evening, the Chief Guest for the day finished  his congratulatory speech and spoke a few words about the music event.

 

“The Gold medal goes to JSPM College closely followed by Mr. Raina with a Silver.” These words by Professor V. Kumar, an esteemed gentleman of our country, changed my entire life. While I was heading up there to receive the medal, I wondered if I can do that with just three songs and amateur guitar skills, what could I achieve if I pursued music professionally.

 

After a few years of research, meetings, rehearsals, travels, shows, professional and personal roller coasters and many other ups and downs, I met a few good souls to share a journey filled with music, film making and entrepreneurial dexterity. From my official live music inception in 2013, I have worked  and constantly evolved as a Singer, Guitarist, Composer, Lyricist, Recording Artist, Beat-Boxer, Cinematographer, Editor and an Acoustician. 

 

I always keep honing my skills and one of my best creations is our beautifully handcrafted studio. I currently spearhead the Video Production team at Reel Note Studios and concurrently working on some new trend setting ventures as well.
